MDW-45 is designed to meet industrial demands for reliability and functionality
in environments with high levels of interference.
MDW-45 is an interface converter between RS-232 and RS-485/422. The device
can be used in multidrop and point-to-point applications to communicate on 2-wire
or 4-wire connections up to 1200 metres (4000 ft) and with 32 connected devices
in bus oriented applications.
In 2-wire half-duplex communication (RS-485) MDW-45 can automatically control
the data flow depending from which side the data is sent.
Greater transmission ranges or additional connected devices on the bus can
are possible with one or more repeaters. MDW-45 is designed for mounting on
35 mm DIN-rails.
