EDW-120
i497.jpg

The EDW-120 is a serial to Ethernet converter designed for use in harsh industrial environments allowing two RS-232 serial devices to communicate via TCP/IP Ethernet networks. As well as supporting UDP, TCP client and TCP server connections the EDW-120 also has an array of special modes allowing the unit to be used in a wide range of complex applications. Configuration is via web interface and by DIP switch. DIP switches allow the Ethernet connection to be fixed if auto-negotiation is not possible. The web interface which is password protected for security allows all other settings to be configured remotely. It is also possible to connect and configure the IP address locally via the serial port.

A special adjusted 2 port licence of the virtual COM-software, Serial/IP from Tactical Software, are included with EDW-100 and EDW-120. If there is a requirement for more than two ports, a new licence must be ordered from Westermo. Note that the new licence can not be based on the delivered 2 port licence. Possible options are 4, 8, 16, 24 or 48 ports. For price information, please contact Westermo.
