The ED-20 industrial Ethernet router can be used in a number of
different ways to provide remote connections to Industrial
Ethernet networks. It can be used for the remote monitoring or
configuration of Ethernet based devices on a network via
modems using Windows dial up networking software.
The ED-20 can also be used to link networks together over
low data rate connections. These links can be established using
Westermo’s telephone, leased line, ISDN or radio modems. In
this mode the connection of the two Ethernet networks remains
absolutely transparent so that no additional software is necessary.
This compact router provides all the necessary features for
operation in harsh industrial Ethernet systems and is also simply
configured using the ED-20 Tool software.
Security is provided by password protection and a simple IP
level firewall.
