Why problem to connect an old TD-32 (or TD-22) with a new TD-32 B on a fixed connection (leased line)?
Some of the older versions of TD-32 are very critical on the signal from the "ringing" modem when they are set as answering modem.
It must be exactly correct frequency, length and distance between the "bip" tones that are sent out from the calling modem, to get the answering modem to understand the signals.
The solution is to change on the direction of the communication.
Make the TD-32 (or TD-22) as the calling part and the modem in the other end (TD-32B) will be the answering modem.
