Compliance Status
Following an external audit conducted by Consid in May 2025, westermo.com is currently partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working to address the identified issues.
 
Summary of Non-Accessible Content
- Images and Multimedia: Partially missing alternative texts, subtitles, or transcripts
- Navigation and Structure: Partially improper headings, keyboard traps, and unclear focus indicators
- Content and Language: incorrect language attributes is used on mixed language subsites
- Design: Low color contrast and layout issues on smaller screens
- Forms and Documents: Missing labels, partially inaccessible PDFs and error messages
 
Measures to Improve Accessibility
We are currently reviewing our web platform and have initiated the following actions:

- Developing a remediation plan for identified issues, including a platform evaluation
- Implementing back-end systems to feed documents and product data for the website moving forward; including increased tagging of assets, approvals, and simplified updates
- Programmatic changes to headings structure of website
- Improving image descriptions and marking decorative elements correctly
- Reviewing and updating downloadable documents for accessibility

Some documents and content provided by external partners or suppliers are outside of our control and may not be fully accessible.
