Dual independent serial ports

Did you know the two serial ports of Lynx DSS S2 can be used totally independent of each other?

The serial ports of the Lynx-DSS switch operate independently of each other, allowing two totally different serial applications to run on the same Lynx hardware and Ethernet network. For instance, one using RS-485 with DNP3 and the second port can use RS-232 with DF1. Different Serial over IP solutions like Modbus Gateway, TCP Server/Client, UDP and Modem Replacement can be mixed freely on the same device. The ability to mix Ethernet, RS-485, RS-232, industrial protocols and serial over IP solutions in just one device allows the end user to save time, equipment space and increase reliability.
