Westermo expands the Ibex-1310 series, now available with a low-voltage power supply (12 - 48 VDC), enabling deployment in a wide range of outdoor applications. Built for demanding conditions, it withstands constant vibration, extreme temperatures, high humidity, and challenging electromagnetic environments.

Thanks to its rugged industrial design, the Ibex-1310 is suitable for use in mines.
Ibex-1310 delivers strong electrical and RF protection and supports interference-free, simultaneous multi-radio operation through the usage of Westermo’s ResilientRF feature. ResilientRF also enables consistent high-power performance with higher-order modulations across the entire band, helping ensure reliable Wi-Fi in harsh environments.
Put simply, Westermo’s ResilientRF feature provides:
1. Electrical and RF protection
2. Interference-free coexistence
3. Consistent high-power throughput
Conventional WLAN access points often fail in harsh conditions because they lack this level of protection and the capability of coexistence with other industrial equipment.
High availability combined with low operational cost through electrical and RF protection
Built-in surge arrestors and multi-stage ESD protection ensure that Ibex-1310 remains operational when exposed to electrical noise, static discharge, or lightning-related surges. For operators, this means fewer failures, reduced maintenance, and long-term availability in both onboard and trackside installations.
Stable and predictable Wi-Fi performance through advanced RF filtering
High-quality RF filters in the Ibex-1310 ensure that each radio operates without internal or external interference. They prevent coupling between neighboring radios inside the unit and block strong external signals from cellular networks, RF transmitters, and other nearby equipment. This enables simultaneous operation of all internal radios, full coexistence with surrounding systems, and zero compromise in performance. The result is stable performance in RF-intense areas such as tunnels, depots, and stations. Such performance is rarely achieved by cost-optimized access points, especially modular designs where proper filtering may not be feasible or is removed to reduce cost.

The Ibex-1310 features a DC power connector and two M12 X-Coded 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, designed to endure tough conditions and withstand vibrations.
Higher throughput and extended coverage enabled by linear power amplifiers
Highly linear power amplifiers in the Ibex-1310 keep the RF signal clean even at high output power levels. Combined with low-loss, high-performance RF filters, our APs can transmit at regulatory power limits while still supporting higher-order modulations across the band. This ensures consistent transmit power across all channels in the band, delivering stronger signals, higher data rates, and more reliable links.
Our access points such as Ibex-1310 with ResilientRF feature are engineered specifically for the environmental realities of onboard and trackside rail, ports, mines, water and sanitation facilities, and other harsh industrial sites requiring reliable wireless performance in tough conditions.
