Did you know WeConfig can evaluate the cyber security base level of a network?

Cyber security is the hot topic in ICS (Industrial Control Systems), but applying a base level of cyber security sanitation is time-consuming and requires a good level of knowledge. The time and the knowledge level required means that the basic level of sanitation is not being carried out, such as changing the default password.

The hardening feature in WeConfig ensures that a base level of sanitation is uniformly applied to a network of Westermo managed switches and routers. Sanitising the network is often referred to as reducing the attack surface i.e. removing easy to compromise protocols or software interfaces. The hardening feature evaluates each Westermo networking device and looks for default passwords, insecure protocol and interfaces, such as Telnet or HTTP, which are all transmitted across the network in an unencrypted format. The hardening function with just a few clicks of the mouse, evaluates each device and presents the user with a list of all the detected vulnerabilities and more importantly an easy-to-understand set of actions to secure the devices.
