Westermo to provide data communication security and reliability presentation at IoT Forum CE

Westermo will be a speaker at the 6th IoT Forum CE in Wien, Austria. Westermo product manager Anders Hanberg is to present a paper entitled `Secure and reliable data communication on IoT’ and will inform delegates how their industrial networks can meet security requirements. The presentation forms part of a two-day conference that focuses on IoT and Industrial IoT strategies, trends, security and data analytics.

“With the emergence of Industrial IoT and Industrie 4.0, everything is becoming connected, which provides the opportunity for manufacturers, utilities and the process industries to make significant operational improvements,” explained Hanberg. “Critical to the success of any IoT strategy is secure and reliable data communications. End users need to carefully consider the type of networking technology they are installing, especially in challenging environments, and provide the necessary security measures to prevent successful cyber security attacks. The 6th IoT Forum CE brings together industry leaders from across Central Europe to explore the latest innovations in IoT. An extensive conference is complemented by an interactive workshop, panel discussions and an exhibition. The forum takes place on the 16-17th May 2018 at the Congress Center at Messe Wien.
