Did you know that WeOS supports 2048 IGMP multicast groups?

It is very rare to find an installation that would require 2048 MC groups. A very large automation system using EthernetIP or a CCTV system with many hundreds of cameras will use 600-700 MC groups, which is not even close to the limits of WeOS.  Unlike some manufactures the CPU is not used to switch the MC data streams and is under no additional strain as all the switching of the MC data are achieved inside the solid state electronics of the switch core.  Because all the switching for the MC groups is in solid state electronics full wire speed (100Mb or 1Gb depending on the ingress and egress port), is maintained without increase time delays or additional jitter through the switch.  The exceptions in the WeOS family are the DDW-142 and DDW-242, which only supports 1024 MC groups!
